I am on MB version 5 fp 5. I have a message flow which transforms from a CWF Format to MRM XML format. the structure has around 965 fields and has some simple and some complex transformation.
We did a prototype, where we mapped around 55% of fields and we did it with a mapping node.
The kind of performance we are getting is 8 msgs/second with one execution group and 5 threads of the flow. The broker is deployed on the AIX Box with 3 CPU and 8 GB of memory. we find this as too slow. I did run a mqsichangeflowstats report and it suprisingly showed only 10000 millisecond consumed in the mapping node.
To improve the performance at this point, I am asking developers to modify the flow to use esql instead of mapping node. My understanding is in MB 5, mapping node uses mapping configuration from the broker db. But I am in a dilema, because conceptually I feel I need to opt for esql but practically the results of mqsichangeflowstats aren't encouraging me to take my discussion.
Pls throw your point of view on this topic.
Just to mention here the messages are persistent...
