Hi All,
I am working with MQv6 on windows, i have to create one q mgr on AIX box, for that what user access will i need to create and test mq objects?
Currently i have user access on the server, still to add my user id in mqm group.
What about smitty or smit, should i ask administrator to give me access this?
And last can i create remote instance of AIX q manager on my windows MQ explorer using show/hide utility under the q manager?
Thanks

If you have to create QMGR and other objects, you need to be in mqm group.
You don't need access to smit kind of utilities to administer MQ
