I would like to know if it is possible to save currently deployed flows on the broker into a bar file. Im pretty sure that if i back up the broker DB that the flows would be saved that way, however i wanted to know if it was possible to save them into a bar file or something similar.
Backing up the BAR files before deploy is the only way to recover a BAR file from a point in time.
Backing up the Broker DB ensures you can recreate your runtime configuration at a point in time, but does not allow you to recover deployed artifacts. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
No, everything will still be deployed. That's how you recover a broker - by restoring the broker database.
You just can't re-extract flows or sets from the Broker database.
Sorry if that wasn't clear.
The thing to remember with v6, though - is that there are things like JAR files and XML files that are not in the Broker database. So you have to also backup and restore the Broker workpath directory if you are using JavaCompute nodes or XSLTransformation nodes.
Plus you'll want to back-up and restore jplugin, and classes from the Broker installation directory. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
