Sorry, this is a cross-post (duplicate), but I think I posted original quesiton in the wrong forum.
Here's a scenario.
I do a lot of self-help/training/tinkering on my laptop, which is Win XP.
That's limiting, so I have VMWare installed and have guest OSs including Linux, Windows 2003 and Vista.
I've got MQ and SQL Server and Oracle and other packages installed on the Win 2003. That's where my question starts.
I can develop against this, but since neither the guest (Win2003) or host (WinXP) sits in the same domain as the other I have to use provide security information when working across them. For instance, I need to pass along a username/domain and password for connecting to SQL Server. My XP login information can't be used.
I can't find a way to set up MQ in the Win 2003 guest to support this. Or more specifically, how to provide what I set up in the server in my client application (in VB.Net) to the server to use.
At least, I think that security is what's causing the problem.
Thanks,
Mark |
