We are trying to install WebSphere message broker toolkit 6.0 on Linux (x86) and we are getting the following error when we click any button on the File--> New--> Project in the workspace. We have download this software from IBM Xtreme Leverage site. Also we have not installed DB2 enterprise server edition yet.
Would appreciate if anyone knows this error and guide us to resolve this issue.

It sounds like either you have not installed successfully or you have run the wrong command when starting the Toolkit.

What is in the .metadata/.log file in the workspace?

Checked /root/IBM/wmbt6.0/workspace.....couldnt find any files.....its blank. Couldnt find .metadata/.log file in the workspace.

Also, we installed using console mode. After installation we got the home page of WMB.

You're not trying to run the toolkit in Console mode, right? You have an X session up and running and available to the Toolkit?

You're running the right thing to launch the toolkit - I assume the linux version of wmbt.exe, and not the eclipse itself?

You're running this as root? So there's no permission issues on the workspace, right?

Thank you to all for the response.

jefflowrey,
We are executing these cmds from root and have an X session up and running and available to the Toolkit.

Okay, can you go back and confirm there are no errors in the install log in:

/opt/ibm/MessageBrokersToolkit/6.0/logs ?

I've seen problems because of lack of memory before ....
