Runmqsc command refresh security type(ssl) is NOT same as refresh security(*)
Though they both comeback with same return code : AMQ8560: WebSphere MQ security cache refreshed.
Refresh security type(ssl) actually does work as desired (considering from ssl point of view).
When I say that, I mean refreshing security after creation of Self signed SSL certificate (which got created under ssl dir of qmgr)
But command refresh security type(ssl) gives syntax error on qmgrs (MQ Version 5.3 CSD- 7) running AIX box.
And it works perfectly fine when I used it on windows box running on MQ 6.0.1
Right now I’ve to recycle qmgrs on AIX (MQ 5.3.7) to actually accomplish the task of refresh security.
Is this command refresh security type(ssl) not valid for MQ 5.3.7. If so, what should be done besides recycling qmgr.
Does anybody have any clue.
Also does anybody has used SSL through the concept of self signed certs. If yes, would you like to share your experience.
***By recycling qmgr I mean stopping qmgr and restarting.
