All,
I have created and posted a web page that lists all freely available (or shareware/lite versions) MQ Tools.
http://www.capitalware.biz/mq_tools.html
If you know of any MQ Tools that I missed or if I have a typo on the page then let me know.
Regards,
Roger Lacroix

Support Pac IH03 (RFHUTIL), this is a very useful tool and although described as a message broker test program, actually has no dependency on the broker. |

I think it would be useful to add a column that shows if a tool is free or shareware/trial.
That way people won't be bothering, for example, Capitalware when the "free" MQ Visual Edit stops working after 30 days.
EDIT: Also, MQJExplorer is *so* old at this point - does it really provide any value? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

It was on the list but I must have overwrote it when I was copying & pasting. Thanks, I'll add it back.

Well, I was hoping that when people clicked on the link that they actually read the product information.
But I guess I should add a reminder/note.

True but it appears people still want to use.
The reason I added the web page was because everyday I would get an email that said 1 of 2 things: Do you have an MQ Admin tool or Do you know of a good MQ Admin tool? (and is it free?!).
At first I only had monitoring & admin stuff but I decided I really should have message editing. Of course, that means listing my competitor's tools. Most business people would say "what the @#$%@ - are you nuts?" I figured it is better for the MQ world to decide for themselves if MQ Visual Edit is the best product on the market or not.

Those people that want a free tool don't want to take thirty seconds to read the product description, they want to read down the list and see "free" or "money". _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

All,
After I created the free / shareware MQ tools web page, I got a bunch of emails about commercially available MQ software. After much thought and debate, I (Capitalware) have decided to create a web page that lists all commercially available MQ software packages (or that I could find). I have attempted to group them into 9 categories.
Here is the web page:
http://www.capitalware.biz/mq_tools_comm.html
Attention MQ vendors: I had a real tough time finding which products are actually available and what the version number is for each product. For example, PM4Data from MetaStorm (CommerceQuest) does not seem to exist anymore nor does MQSecure from IBM (Candle). If I could get the proper home page and version number for any commercially available MQ software then that would be great.
If you know of any commercial MQ Tools that I missed or if I have a typo on the page then let me know.
Regards,
Roger Lacroix
