I am novice in broker. I created and started broker and config manager. How I know that the broker and configuration manager is running? The mqsilist command just shows the existence. Does it also tell whether the broker and config manager are running? How>

Do I need to restart Broker, configuration manager and broker domain Every time I restart my pc?

Thanks a lot

Hi Jeevan,
If you are working on the windows, then the best way to know if your broker and configmgr are running is to see in Services

Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Sevices

And there you can see the
IBM Websphere Message Broker Components Started/Stopped

You could also use the mqsilist and dspmq commands

mqsilist, by supplying the broker and execution group name, tells you whether execution groups are running.
It's not possible use mqslist to find out whether the Config Manager is running. On Windows, do what biswagourab suggests. On UNIX platforms, use ps to find the bipconfigmgr process.

Or you could write a CMP application.
There are examples here http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r0m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ae33040_.htm and http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r0m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ae33030_.htm.
These samples describe how to tell whether the Config Manager and message flows are running respectively.
