Hi experts,
Now I have a problem with Rational Product Updater(RPU) v6.0.1.
I'm trying to upgrade my Toolkit through RPU but I'm getting an error, which says invalid site url: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/mqseries/fixes/wbimbv60.
Is there anybody experienced this?
How can I cope with this problem?
Environment:
Toolkit v6.0.0.1
RPU v6.0.1
Windows XP.
I tried to write httpProxy.properties file, but it didn't work.
Also I configured proxy settings as RPU property, which is a new property to RPU v6.0.1, but didn't work.
I'm doubtful whether RPU really works... |

Hi JYama,
I think u cann't update u r Toolkit using ftp link in the RPU,as it is a secured site.First of all u download the Fixpack for toolkit and give site.xml file path (which will get from fixpacl) in the update site option in the preference tab.
cheers,

But RPU just tried to connect to the ftp site by itself, right?
I've never tried to force RPU to connect to the site.
Anyway, what you are saying is that to update toolkit, first I need to download the module by myself.
If that's true, it means that the way of update is different between WID and Toolkit because I can upgrade WID through RPU, which directly connects to the update site. With WID update, I've never met the same error.
Why??? |
