atm we never made flows with messages larger then a few KB.
now the design implies that the message size that runs through the flow is at least 350 KB.
I'm wondering what the performance issue is with large message.
I know that the speed of the network, the speed of the machine etc has a lot to do with it.
But beside that, is the Message Broker designed to handle these large messages?
Has anybody had flows with message larger then 350 KB, larger then 1 MB, larger then 10 MB, perhaps even larger?
If so, are we talking about 1 message / minute or more, what is the troughput of the messages with you? |

The performance report support pack covers performance for different message sizes in a fair detail - and compares and contrasts persistent and non-persistent messaging.
The thing you need to keep in mind is that talking about performance without any measurable requirements is a waste of time. So if you don't have performance requirements in the requirements for this new flow, then it doesn't matter whether or not it runs at one message a minute - or even one message a DAY. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
