I had configured a queue and it was working fine. Now when I give the command

display qlocal(MSG_QUEUE)
1 : display qlocal(MSG_QUEUE)
AMQ8149: WebSphere MQ object damaged.

There was no activity going on in the machine where MQ was installed.

Can anybody please let me know the possible reasons for this MQ getting damaged.

Note: I had changed the dates of the linux machine without stopping the queue manager

Have you tried to restart the queue manager? The queue manager tries to fix damaged objects on start time.

Linear logging only:
If the queue is referenced at start up it is fixed, otherwise use rcrmqobj.
Circular logging
Delete and recreate the object.

Possible reasons for it?

Media failure or someone (outside of MQ) corrupted it

On a seperate note. CSD 8 and 9 are considered to be evil. If it is an option you might consider to update.

I've seen this kind of thing happen in Unix systems when the file system for MQ had not been allocated with enough resources, etc. I'd up the allocation and recreate the object in question.
