I'm trying to install WMQ V6 on Windows XP. I have Java and Eclipse installed. When I run the WMQ V6 install I get an error telling me Eclipse has to be installed to complete installation. Any possible reasons why the install is not recognizing Eclipse? |

You installed some other Eclipse other than the IBM EclipseSDK3.0 that the MQ installer wants. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I installed Eclipse 3.1.2. In the install process it says WMQ requires Eclipse 3.0 or higher.
When I go out to IBM and the Eclipse site I'm unable to locate Eclipse SDK 3.0. Any ideas on where I might me able to pull the specific 3.0 version? |

There is a specific installer for the IBMEclipseSDK 3.0 that the WMQ explorer wants.
It is, oddly enough, in the 'prereqs' directory on your WMQ installation media.
Also, oddly enough, the WMQ Launchpad will give you a button to launch that installer if you use the advanced screens, or it will simply install the right Eclipse for you if you use the default installation. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
