Hi

MQ5.3 CSD10

The system admin guide states that remotely executing runmqsc commands requires that the source queue manager is the default queue manager.

I'd really like to do this but I dont want the queue manager to be the default.

Is there anyway round this and does anyone know the reason for this restriction?

many thanks

you can only feed one queuemanager name to runmqsc, so the 'transit' queuemanager needs to be the default.

if you want to issue mqsc commands to a remote queuemanager but don't have a default local queuemanager, have a look at mqsc client (MO72)

Not that it is mandatory but if you use both MO71 and MO72 you can specify the configuration of MO71 by using the -g flag for accessing the qmgrs.

This way you do not have to pass all the access details to the program...

Enjoy
