Hi,
In a WBIMB 5.0 on Win2003 i tried to set a file path for a trace node like this: R:\Tracedir\tracefilename.txt
There was a mapped R: drive.
The broker said 'The system cannot find the path specified.'
I disconnected the R drive then made an RDRIVE directory on the local D: drive and issued the subst r: d:\RDRIVE command from the command prompt.
R drive created, but the broker was not able to find it again.
If i specify a real local drive, everything is working fine.
In my flows there are many trace nodes, and our customer side R drive exists. I don't want to / cannot change trace file paths, so i cannot use this test feature of my environment.
What should I do?
Regards,

Hi Balazs,
The reason why it is failing could be because the broker process is started as a Windows service. Windows wervices usually are not aware of the network drives that have been mapped by the logged on userid.
Make sure that the share is made under the login id of the broker. |

Hi,
The broker's service user is is same with the user which I used to login. (By the way, its an administrator user.)
The broker's database user is different from the service user, but I think it is not inportant in this case.
I made a third test. I made on a local D: an R subdirectory. I shared it as R for the service user with full control. Sadly, there were nothing in this directory after a message processing.
So, is there any other idea?
Is there any windows 2003 parameter setting, which not allowed for the broker service to write something into a shared drive?
Regards,
