Hi
Can anybody tell me where can I find some good recommendations for maintaining Cleanup servers.
Currently, our cleanup server is scheduled to run everday at 12 in the night when the volume of the transactions is not high. But we are experiencing deadlocks when the server starts cleaning up the processes. Is it because of the cleanup servers ?
We have this configuration on our machine:
Cleanup server settings
- Check interval PT5M
- Start mode Immediate
- Cleanup time P1W
- Cleanup delay time PT1H
Would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanx |

Hi, please make sure that you applied the latest service level on your MQWF server. There are couple of deadlock fixes in the servicepacks. Check the readme file of the servicepack. |

We have the same error.
Cleanup server runs automaticaly 00:00 - 06:00 but all this time every second DB2 throws errors about deadlock escalation. No other errors in any logs. Cleanup server stops normaly.
We've got about 25.000-30.000 new proc. instances every day and most of then finishes same day (except 20-30 inst. waites next day).
2 weeks ago cleanup worked fine but now database grow very fast and now it's about 7Gb.
What about service packs that hos spoke about?
Our WF version is 3.5 SP4 |

Here I've this:
"FMCCLEAN should only run when ALL Workflow configurations are down. "
Is it really necessary? So in our case exec. servers are running but it could be 1-2 new process instances for all night. Can it prevent cleanup server to work? |

fmcemain must be running in order for fmccmain to do its cleanup. When was the last time you ran a runstats rebind? _________________ John McDonald

Runstats about 2 weeks, rebind - long ago. Is it so bad? How often it should be done? |
