I got initially the following error:
syslog:

Error data = FmcParserException |
After 30-45 min, I got the following error and everything stopped working.
Syslog:

We had to stop the servers and restart the servers. This resolved the errors.
Can somebody help me and explain what could have caused the above errors? |

I am for sure that there were no MQ errors. I have checked DB2 logs did not find any errors. I am checking with DBAs to see if they see any errors. |

Looks like parsing error. When you try converting a string into intiger then you get an error. check your mapping from input container to output container. |

Thanks djeripo
Question 1:
As far as I know,we did not change the model. I have ran thousands of instances thorugh the same model.
Now if you are saying it could be the mapping issue, how to track which instances might have caused?
Will there be a process instance in a particular status, which I can search for it and see where the
data is not getting mapped correctly?
Question 2:
Bringing own the execution server for a data error seems to be over reacting. Don't you thinks so? |

Well not always.
If you search the forum there are instances of such cases
For example, if the UPES queue was not defined then workflow exec server on z/OS used to abend.
I am not saying this would be the case here though.
Ask your DBAs if they think anything about the problem. The problem maybe sporadic, or maybe not. Maybe you should look at all your setup one more time.
Is the workflow DB maintained well
Is the load on the server too much
Is the OS at the required maintanance level
Have you seen the readme's of any of the service packs that fix these kind of errors |

If you are not on the most current version this could be the problem... there have been some of these assertion errors in the past that were cleaned up. If you are not on 3.5 latest fixpac or 3.6 that could be the issue. _________________ John McDonald

I ran fmczchk and got the following information.
Quote: |
FMC34154I: WebSphere MQ Workflow Version 3.5.0.0 is installed |
I am not sure if this is the right way to find the version and the fix pack details. If not please let me know what is the right way to find out.
If the above mentioned way is right, let me know if 3.5.0.0 is the right version and do we need to apply any fixpack?
Please let me know |

Current version for 3.5 I think is 3.5.0.7. So you can definitely install some service. Whether or not this will solve the problem I do not know. _________________ John McDonald

Thanks hos!!
As mentioned we had already set the EXTSHM variable on. I just ran a ENV on the user FMC and I see that EXTSHM is on. I got the FMCParserError at a later time after setting the EXTSHM varibale |

If the model is working for all instances, then it is not a mpping issue. because the mapping is same for every instance.
