Hi,
One of our People Soft applications is unable to establish a JMS Client connection to MQ Series. I hardly have knowledge about this. Can someone guide me what should I be checking as an MQ Admin?
It seems it was working fine before, but now it isn't.
Kindly help me with this issue..
Thank you. |

It says tracing and error log not initialized in WAS.
But it would be appreciated if you please let me know the things I should be looking into and make sure that ever thing from MQ side is fine. |

One more thing.
How does the people soft application knows which MQ server & queue to connect to? Only in bindings file? (I didn't notice anything related to server name in this file) |

Lazy and impatient?
Use amqscnxc to connect from a client to the MQ server. Show the developers how to do it from their machine with MQClient.
Say "See? You and I can both connect to the QM with this little sample program. It proves the QM is up and functional. There is nothing wrong with the QM."
As an MQ Admin, you're done. As a good guy, you can ask them what error code they are getiing, and try and figure out what they have configured wrong. _________________ Peter Potkay

<sarcastic mode>
Sorry about that, my employer selfishly expected me to do some work for them

As Peter says, run a sample client program to prove the QM is up and 'connectable'.
You are going to have to get used to people blaming MQ I'm afraid. MQ is usually innocent but others (usually network or application people) will always think it is guilty until you prove it isn't..... It is surely not their code right? |

No but there is an object name QCF or TCF that contains all the needed information on how to connect to the qmgr.
