Hi,

i want to request some Queuedepths from an z/os MQ from a Windows machine. I checked various connect strings and configurations but always failed. Are there some configuration to be made on the Mainframe or on the windows machine???

Connections to other Windows-Queuemanager works well as well as network connections.

Any ideas??

What version of MQ?

Search here for "CAF" or 'Client Attachment Facility'.

Assuming, you have the client attachment feature installed on z/OS, you still need a channel of type SVRCONN and a tool like MQMON (SupportPac MO71) or - for MQ version 6 on z/OS only - the new version 6 MQ Explorer.

CAF was a good hint. Wasn't installed. Did it now and it worked well.
