Hi,
Is the message engine just a WebSphere MQ manager, or a new developed one. if it is a new developed one, is it developed in java or c?

It is a new development geared for the Java environment with a persistency store that usually ends up being a DB.

The messaging engine is written in java, and persists to a database.
The coolest thing is that HA is free, if your database is highly available.
You can use the integrated database called Cloudscape (this is the apache derby project with some IBM valueadd), which is written in java and very easy to administer.
Or you can use a traditional DB such as DB2 or oracle which will give much better performance. There is some DDL in the install directory somewhere that sets up the schema for use with the default messaging. |
