When do i have Linier Log and when do i have circular log? why? |

Linear logging allows you to recover damaged objects in the event of media failure. Circular logging does not. |

Your subject line mentioned "MQ Error Logs". Linear and circular logs are not error logs, they are transaction logs. These logs are used by MQ to protect data; they are not human-readable and, in most instances, should not be touched.
MQ does write a variety of error logs in addition to transaction logs. It can be confusing at first. Error logs are very human-readable and are very useful in troubleshooting.
