Hi
I have a MQ client running on Windows 2000 and the Server is on Mainframe OS/390. I would like to set up the client connection channel definition file on Windows 2000, Is it possible..? If it is where exactly do I find this file on Mainframe, once it is defined on the mainframe, to copy over to Windows 2000 server...? According to the books, we need to FTP this file in binary format and set up environment variables MQCHLLIB and MQCHLTAB on Windows 2000. I don't know if this is the procedure for the mainframe to someother platform though.
Has anybody gone through this, could you please throw some light on this..?
Thanks very much,
I appreciate your response,

ind76,
check out the System Management Guide for MQ/390, chapter 17 on CSQUTIL, "Issuing Commands to MQSeries" and look for the keyword MAKECLNT(ddname). Your command input dataset for CSQUTIL will contain your channel definition statements and the binary output file you need to transfer to you Win2K machine will be generated as the file referenced by the DDNAME you specified on the MAKECLNT keywod.
HTH,
Stefan
