32 bit RedhatEnterprise Server 3, Update 5.

I found the below in the QM's error logs as it was starting. What the heck is EXPIRER?

AMQ5037: The Queue Manager task 'EXPIRER' has started.

EXPLANATION:
The Utility Task Manager, processId(0) type(7866), has started the EXPIRER
task.

Didn't we recently have a thread about how V6 now automatically removes expired messages from queues without having to actually "read" the messages?
