You don't want to read messages from here. You want to find a different way to solve your problem. One good way to start is to tell us what your problem actually is.
The format of the log files is IBM Proprietary. You won't be able to get much information about what they look like or how to read them. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

There's always dmpmqlog - thousands and thousands of lines of output for every message. I have never seen anyone use this program in anger. |

I used this tool some times - and once I found a relevant information (after hours of searching ).
I am not quite sure, what mq_smart means with log files. Error logs (AMQERRnn.LOG), which contain error and information messages - or transactions logs (Snnnnnnn.LOG), which contain transactional informations needed for QMgr startup, channel syncs etc. _________________ Regards

Error logs are fairly clear, and would not tend to have "messages" in them. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

i also had some tests with dmpmqlog but quit after some hours. on z/OS the log os much more readable and "more logical".
the problem with dmpmqlog is... if you find what you are searching for - good. if you do not find what you are looking for, you do not know whether it was (or is) there or not. _________________ Regards, Butcher |

Actually in my scenario :
There are two QMs on box QM1 and QM2.I have made all the configuration for the distribution communication. When I post a message to a RQ in QM of QM1 it reaches the LQ of the QM2.We have an application built on seebeyond which will pick up the message from the LQ of QM2 immediately when the message arrived in the LQ.I would like to know how can i find whether my message is reached or not in to the LQ.
Is there will any logs created to know abt the arriving of the message in to LQ _________________ Thanks in Advance

look at the info center for "COD" confirm on delivery ... it is a way for your application to get a report message back when seebeyond gets the message. _________________ -wayne |

And if you want assured delivery make sure that your messages are persistent. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
