Greetings!
I'm working on a Centos Linux version 2.6.9-34.0.2.EL server with MQ v5.3 and Perl 5.8.5. MQ is running on the same host, so i'm trying to use a server connection rather than client.
I've got MQSeries-1.2.3 downloaded. perl Makefile.PL and make both apparently run successfully. make test fails with these errors:
t/10constants.....ok
t/20convert.......FAILED tests 2-6
Failed 5/6 tests, 16.67% okay
t/30basic.........FAILED tests 2-17
Failed 16/17 tests, 5.88% okay
t/40oo-qmgr.......ok 1/9MQCONN failed (Reason = 2035) (Not authorized for access.) at t/40oo-qmgr.t line 40
t/40oo-qmgr.......FAILED tests 2-9
Failed 8/9 tests, 11.11% okay
t/50oo-command....ok
t/60-logs.........ok
t/70-config.......ok
I did originally have both NOSERVER = 1 and NOCLIENT = 1 commented out in CONFIG and that resulted in a 2058 error. I read in another posting that NOSERVER = 1 should be uncommented, though that seems backwards to me. With NOSERVER = 1 commented out i get these errors:
t/10constants.....ok
t/20convert.......FAILED tests 2-6
Failed 5/6 tests, 16.67% okay
t/30basic.........FAILED tests 2-17
Failed 16/17 tests, 5.88% okay
t/40oo-qmgr.......ok 1/9MQCONN failed (Reason = 2058) (Queue manager name not valid or not known.) at t/40oo-qmgr.t line 40
t/40oo-qmgr.......FAILED tests 2-9
Failed 8/9 tests, 11.11% okay
t/50oo-command....ok
t/60-logs.........ok
t/70-config.......ok
though i've verified the Queue manager name is correct in CONFIG.
Any ideas gratefully appreciated! Thanks. |

Make sure there is a valid and active MQSERVER environment variable set in the shell before trying to build this if you have the client libraries installed - even if you also have the server libraries installed.
It's a bug in the module - the CONFIG file doesn't do what it says it does. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks to both of you. It's installed and functional.
Now ... so much to learn about message formatting ... I'll be busy!
Thanks again! |
