One of our machine was rebooted on a regular maintenance. When it was rebooted, the broker did not start. Do any one have an idea why this may occurs.
thanks |

Which broker?
What version?
What version of MQ?
Are there errors in the logs? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Do you have the commands to start it in your startup scripts. It doesn't start by itself.

Run strmqbrk to start the broker and add the command to your startup script for starting MQ. |

Assuming it's the base MQ Broker, and not Event Broker, Message Broker, or some broker built into an AppServer. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

If you refer to the WBIMB, be aware that sometimes a brutal reboot can damage the DB2 and it cannot start.
You might need to re-install it, along with creating a new broker.
Hope you kept your bar files... |

Thank for the suggestion.
there is command to start the broker. The qmanager is acting as broker we do not use MB as broker. I looked the both errors log at qmanager directory and at mqm directory. However, I do not have much iadea about .FDC file. Can someonne help me further.
thanks in advance

Are you saying there are FDC files in /var/mqm/errors/ ?
If so, open the latest one and post the contents of the first 3 sections here. |
