Hi all,
I am in the beginner level of Message Broker and want to get clarified with a query.
Assume that the configuration manager has a database CONFIGDB. and a broker within its domain has a database BROKERDB. When the bar file is deployed (Containing the message set and message flows) , From the toolkit, it is deployed to the broker. My query is where the message flows and message set get stored physically ?. In the broker database or in a file system ?. From a document , i came to know that the CONFIGDB holds the copy of message set and message flow. I am not clear in this concept. Hope you would clear me !!
Thanks,
Mani. |

Once deployed, message flows and message sets are stored in the broker's database. Some artefacts (e.g. UDNs, Java) that the flows require are stored on the broker's file system.
Of course, your development artefacts - source, BAR files and compiled flows/dictionaries could also be stored within your Eclipse workspace after deployment, but that's up to you.
The Config Manager stores only a subset of the message flow and set information that it has deployed to the domain - not the entire artefact. (The v5 ConfigMgr database stored the entire deployed message flow but never used it all. In v6, the ConfigMgr's internal repository just holds the name, runstate and versioning information.)

Thanks for the reply matt.
I am also kind to know another information !
In setting up Broker under MSCS cluster,Assume that we install MQ, MQ Broker in both the nodes and database (DB2).
In clustering, The Queue manager associated with the broker and the database are brought under mSCS. In this scenario, if the message set or message flow of a broker is to be changed, do i need to update the broker in both the servers manually ??
Thanks,
Mani. |
