Hi,
I'm trying to find out if its possible to convert one language to another in the message flow in WBIMB 5.0.2......
If I get information say in Chinese or Arabic, is it possible to convert it into english and the output end.....does the MQ queue accept the different language characters ????
Will I otherwise have to do some UTF-8 conversion or something ????

No, it is not possible to convert data in Chinese into English.
I think that you have misunderstood what data conversion actually does. It converts a character in one codepage to the same character in another codepage. For example, the character 'A' is represented in codepage 819 (US English on AIX) by the byte value x41. The same character 'A' is represented in codepage 500 (US English on z/OS) by the byte value xC1. Data conversion carries out that transformation. |
