I have started listener on my receiver system. When i start the sender channel , it shows status as binding and after a long time goes to retrying. Could someone tell me why this is happening.

Also how can i check whether listener is running on my receiver system?

the following are my definitions

Sender channel

define channel(KEN.CAR.F1) chltype(sdr) trptype(tcp) conname('132.140.37.24(1418)')

receiver channel

define channel(KEN.CAR.F1) chltype(rcvr) trptype(tcp)

i used runmqlsr -t tcp -p 1418 -m CAR.QUEUE.MANAGER to start listener on receiver system

Please reply at the earliest.

Are you sure your sender channel got defined right? You did not mention an xmitq and I believe that any define of a sender channel without xmitq will result in an error msg. Are you sure the ip address is right? I tend to use the dns names as they are often more reliable for the network(nat traversal abstraction etc...)

Apart from that did you leave all other values default most specifically max msg length on xmitq, channels, receiver queues, dlq ?

Did you put your msg directly to the xmiq or to a remote q on the sender qmgr?

Any error msgs or FDCs being created ?

We need more info to guide you

Is there any error reported on the log files?
