I am trying to create a new workflow configuration, but i am getting error as "The selected DB2 database is not a valid Workflow Runtime database".

I checked C:\Program Files\IBM WebSphere MQ Workflow\rt_db directory, it is empty

I think it is because of the naming convention for the workflow database. try FMCRTDB or the name close to it.

Do not just create a database yourself. Workflow config utility will create one for you. All you have to do is to supply the config utility the DB2 instance, username and password.
