Operating System AIX.
We are looking at using the DB2 Stored procedures that perform DB2 function calls which in turn use MQ-AMI to MQGET and MQPUT queues to populate a Data Warehouse. Everything tests out OK, however we can't get past the requirement to co-locate the DB2 and MQ Servers on the same physical server.
What we want to do is have the DB2 function call NOT use local bindings but allow us to supply an AMQCLCHL.TAB path or property file values that will direct the implicit MQCONN to a different server where the MQ QMGR is running.
You realize that without the transactional client (same cost as MQ server) you loose the advantage of 2 phase commit with the DB if not colocated on the same box ??
