Is there any disadvantage in using PASSTHRU as against normal ESQL selects (Even for normal queries) ?

What about the connection pooling in case of PASSTHRU? I guess it will use the connection from the connection pool of the broker. Is this correct?

I would like to know if there is any IBM documentation on this subject.
