Hi All,
My organisation has decided to introduce active directory acroos the board, and we obiously will have to chnage our MQ configuration accordingly.
I have read all about how to migrate to AD, however i can't seem to find much information on the why.....
for instance is there any alternative to following the steps from the quick beginnings, or does the group created have to be called "domain mqm"
I guess what i am asking is, is there any documention explaining the underlying issues of AD and MQ and why the steps outlined to circumvent them seem to be so specific and rigid.
My organisation are reluctant to create groups like this for specific applications so i am trying to give them a definitive answer that says we have to do this besides my current explanation of "thats what the manual says"!
I don't think there is a better or more complete answer than "This is what the manual says".
The manual says what it does because the product is coded to do certain things and work in certain ways. In order to function properly in the environment that AD imposes, MQ requires certain permissions in AD to do it's job. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
