Hi,
Could someone please explain the difference between the WBI Swift Adapter for WBIMB and the IA0T fee based support pac. As I understand it IA0T is a package containing pre-defined message sets and flows for Swift parsing and transformation within message broker. I'm not entirely sure what you get out of the box with the WBI Swift Adapter? - the IBM product page doesn't give too much away...
Also, to clarify - am I correct in thinking either products would need to be part of a solution that also contains the Swift Alliance Access and the MQSA MQ adapter.
Thanks,
Pete |

There's actually three products:
The IA0T Cat 1 support pack (aka the Swift Message sets) which allows you to create Swift messages (and parse them) in your message flows. Cat 1 means its is a "fee" offering. It only allows you to transform messages, no SWIFT protocol.
Then, there's the WBI Swift Adapter, which is from the Crossworlds family (now ICS), similiar function but you use the Adapter Framerwork tooling. It (apparently) can talk directy to a SAG thru the MQHA. (But I don't know if it can do things like login / select for FIN).
Lastly, these is WBI-FN: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/wbifn/ , which is a product (built on the broker) that allows you to connect to SWIFT (again thru the SAG/HA) and provides quite a bit of flexibility in terms to control, protocol (like login and select) etc......It can also talk to MERVA.
Hope this makes sense .... _________________ -wayne |

Thanks for the response.
Just to clear up - you meant MQSA not MQHA?

Also, from the WBI product page, a requirement of the WBI Swift Adapter is the WBI Adapter Framework - is this a product I need aswell as WBIMB? I need to read up on the adapter framework, but a one liner on what it is/how it is implemented would be much appreciated.
Thanks again,
