Is there a tool/utility to print/report authority events on the SYSTEM.ADMIN.QMGR.EVENT (UNIX/Linux)?
Is there a description of the message layout of an authority event?
Thanks for your help

Have you heard of a book called "Event Monitoring"? It might come in handy:
Quote:
The event messages for queue manager events are put on the SYSTEM.ADMIN.QMGR.EVENT queue. The following queue manager event types are supported:
v Authority (on Windows, Compaq OpenVMS Alpha, Compaq NonStop Kernel, and UNIX® systems only)

On the same book there's a full description of the structure, I don't think it's relevant pasting it here...

Btw, there's a support pac that handles events, have you checked it out?

Thanks!
Interesting book with a lot of information to write your own program. I was looking for a 'standard' tool/utility to report about security violations. I looked at MS0K but I rather have a utility that prints a report.

I suggest you use MS0K as is, and build some script that generates a report from its output - save yourself a bit of work. There are other event monitoring tools out there, and some are free (QFlex for one), so you should look around; possibly use some general MQ monitoring tool for the purpose of handling events alone.
