When I open Buildtime and import an already existing FDL, created in fact using the same version of MQWF, I see "question marks" in the process icons, program icons... on the left hand side explorer window of MQWF 3.3
What does it mean?

Builtime tries to keep a record of the status of objects, the status can be - created new, updated, marked for deletion, default or 'in question', this relates to the objects in the runtime database. The builtime relies on you for most status changes, when you import from an existing fdl the buildtime marks the imports as 'in question; hence the question mark icon. To change the status either set individual processes using the Object Status menu or set all through the Buildtime -> Object Status menu.

Rich is correct in the meaning of the ?. If you don't want to see that on import you can check the box that says "Imported from Runtime" and I believe you will not see those check marks.
