I read about the new file transfer feature in this release and was wondering if it could help us with the contact admin situation in the following way. We need to warranty unique access to files shared across different machines. I was thinking that if this new feature can automatically replicate a file to multiple machines and block access to it while it's being written it would probably help us out to share file access across multiple Windows machines.
Any advice _________________ "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used

The new file transfer feature is, in my opinion, at best a demonstration.
I don't really understand your requirements... but I'm fairly sure that the file transfer tool won't meet them. It may replicate the file, but as far as I know, there are no pre or post processing facilities, nor any control over how it writes files. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
Thats all that is. It is meant to allow new users of MQ an easy way to see something in a file end up in a queue, or something from a queue end up in a file. It is not meant for production work. _________________ Peter Potkay
