Hi,
I am having test systems(AS400 and Win2K) which is having MQ series 5.3 and all MQ objects(Queues, channels,Queue Managers) configured.
Now I want to port in live system(As400 or Win2K) with exactly same configuration and also MQ 5.3.
How can I port all MQ Objects on Live/New system from test environment so that I have not to create any objects on new system ? _________________ Smart MQ Saavy boy |

Use the all-encompassing support pack MS03: WebSphere MQ - Save Queue Manager object definitions using PCFs by Wayne Schutz, a proficient mqseries.net member . It will create a file containing all the object definitions of a given qm, which you can then runmqsc (or any platform equivalent) against your new qm. There is a lot of material on this site about this support pack, use the "Search" button to find it!
You will, however, have to reset channels and copy security settings by diffrerent means, though for a test system that probably won't be necessary; If it is, search this forum on how to do so. |

You will, however, have to reset channels ... |
You can have saveqmgr generate the REST CHANNEL command with the "-R" flag.

The free WMQTool also does quite a good job of saving QM ojbect definitions and replaying them on another QM.
