triggering mq objects

im workin in c on linux platform.when i type the command

"start chinit" or"start chinit initq(SYSTEM.CHANNEL.INITQ)"
in runmqsc i get the following error

AMQ9509: Program cannot open queue manager object.

i tried the above both before and after creatin the tranmission qu.

plz guide me thro triigering mqobjects.[/i]

did you create the default objects when you created the queuemanager?
do you see any SYSTEM* Queues or Channels?

start runmqsc

display qmgr all
display qlocal(SYSTEM*)
display qlocal(SYSTEM.CHANNEL.INITQ) all

and post the results
