Hello,

We have a V5.2 MQ server install on Solaris that is being replaced by an MQ Client V5.3. After removing the 5.2 server and installing the 5.3 client, is it necessary for the applications to be recompiled?

Without recompiling anything, the applications programs that are using the MQ client work fine but those using both MQ Client AND DB2 7.1 are core dumping.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Yes, you have to recompile server apps to run them on clients.

The core dump should have been a very good clue.
