Hi all,
I am new to WBIMB, so, please help me out solve my problems.
I have installed WBIMB 5.0 in my system with MQ 5.3 .
I had the problem of creating a Configuration Manager. So, I was suggested to install CSD05. which I did and the problem got solved. But now, I am unable to see the create new Message Definition file option in a message set. I tried installing CSD03 (though a higher version should have solved the problem), but I got the message that WBI Event Broker:A newer version is already installed.
Can any one help me as to what I need to do next to be able to create the message defintion file.
Also, Can you explain me more on

The solution is then to stop the Toolkit, rename the active working directory, then restart the Toolkit. Voila, now everything is there. |

I would like to mention that I checked out the Broker Application Developent perspective also, but couldn't find the option.
Thanks and Regards,

Maybe it means you should delete the existing metadata and create a new one....
For that go to the Installed folder C:/...Websphere Broker /eclipse /workspace....u'll find a folder '.metadata'.
Close the application and delete the folder. Now start the application again.
I hope i'm right... |

Hi Maverik,
Thanks. I did recreate the Metadata folder and I am now able to see the Create New Message Definition file option.

Hi all,
Yes, I had mentioned sometime earlier that I was able to see the create new Message Defintion File option. But a new problem has corpped up. Because I deleted the metadata folder, I lost the configuration manager and broker domain details, and all the message sets and message flows that I had created. I copied the new metadata folder to another place and pasted the old metadata folder which I had backed up. Now, I am able to see the configuration details which I had set, but again no Message Defintion File option
When I tried to create the configuration manager with the new set fo metadata that i had (the one with which I got the message definition file option), I got bip0865e error. But I had already installed fix pack 5 (csd05).
Can you please help me out on this. Where am I going wrong? I would like to understand the process so that I don't repeat mistakes.
Regards,

Switch back to the new metadata folder or delete the old one and make a new one.
Then use File -> Import to re-add your old projects back to your workspace -just import them from the workspace directory. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
