Hi
I am trying to start a channel using runmqchl -c CHANNEL1 of type receiver. It is saying that the type of channel not suitable for action requested ( AMQ9502) and channel program ended abnormally (AMQ9999).I am working on AIX. I couldnt figure out wats the problem is . Also why its not suitable to start the channel. If anybody has faced this type of problem, please suggest me wats wrng with it. Any help would be appreciated.
Unless the receiver has been specifically stopped.
Then you need to manually start it using runmqsc (or some tool).
Remember in order to have a working connection the listener on the receiver qmgr must be running.
Use runmqsc to check on channel status and to manually start and stop channels.
