Hi,
you can try for example QPasa (www.mqsoftware.com) one of it features is:
Quote: |
Key Business Benefits
Real-Time Performance Data
See how business lines and technologies are performing in real-time so your organization can meet the demands of a 24x7 business.
|
I would imagine that some of the other solutions (BMC Patrol, TIVOLI, Netflexity...) do provide the same capability... But you will have to check that on your own...
Hope this helps

There are some MQ metrics in the Windows Perfmon displays (Windows queue managers only). |

I was just looking into that. On the performance monitor I get only displayed how queue depths are developing. Or am I missing something? |

Message enqueue rates can be displayed for a given queue. If you monitor all the queues you are interested in, the total will be about the same as the channel in question.
Maybe you can measure the xmit queue message rate - I don't know - it's just something to look into. |

Yea, the XMITQs would give good results I guess
I am trying around with it. I am only getting to choose SYSTEM.* queues. Did you ever manage to monitor any other local queue, zpat? |

Yes, I was only interested in application queues at the time. |

There are a few specific metrics on the channel:
a) number of bytes sent
b) number of bytes received
c) number of messages (sent or received depending on channel type)
This should take care of the fact that all messages are not equal...
If you use QPasa check out their channel monitoring capabilities...
Enjoy |

That's not what I am looking for, but thanks anyway.
What I need is a tool I can look at the channels online.
Thanks |
and my answer:
I think then you should look at one of the several monitoring tools out there. Net Flexity is providing a free one.
Our company has some parts of Tivoli, and on top of that a inhouse developed solution.
There is QPasa which appears to be pretty good, but not free.
There is BMC Patrol out there, and many more. You might want to look into those.
hope this helps
