I am a Unix admin and knows ADBA . I was assinged to handle MQSeries to do admin and monitoring for one customer's accounts. I am giving some time to learn MQSeries . My question is what should I learn about the customer account . If you have an existing MQSeries installed and working and you are asked to admin that acount , what would you look for or need to learn about the account. I am currently taking courses to learn MQSeries. thanks

For starters...

    Number of messages
    Size of messages
    Who MQPUTs
    Who MQGETs
    Expected roundtrip time for each transaction
    Who do you call if a queue is backing up, indicating the program is not running
    Is there monitoring in place
