I need to install MQSeries 5.3 on Windows XP and I am getting the error

Websphere MQ Configuration Problem.

An unexpected error has occurred while validating the security credentials of user COMPANYXYZ\JOM.


Im not sure if I need a different Version for Windows XP as during the launch it says it is for WIN 2000 and WINNT.

Hi,

AFAIK, all Windows XP versions should be fine. But please make sure you are local Admin.

At what point of the installation do you get this error?

Check the installation log that MQ is writting. Maybe this gives you some indication.

I am running Microsoft Windows XP,Professional Version 2002 service pack 2.

i tried instalallion when I am local Admin and still get the same error.This error is displayed at the end of installation.

The error file on C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Errors has the daetails below:

AMQ7199: The purchased processor allowance is set to 1.

EXPLANATION:
The purchased processor allowance for this installation has been set to 1 using
the MQ setmqcap command.
ACTION:
None.

This is not an error. You can safely ignore this.
