Hi,
Is it possible to connect using MQ Client with a blank uid when making the connection to another QMGR using a client channel on this QMGR.
For example, this is the command I would type when trying to connect to another QMGR on my workmate's PC:
set MQServer=CLIENTS/tcp/10.13.8.203(1415)
Then using amqputc to put a message onto a local queue which exists on his QMGR.
Now, I though that even if I didn't specify a uid to make the conenction, it will use my PC's userid. Correct? I found this to be true.
So why is it when an application (someone else wrote), which uses a MQ Client connection to a QMGR on a CLIENTS channel... the uid is blank? I thought that MQ should pick up the userid that the application is running on or a default mq user id.
So it's baffling me. I thought that uid on the connection via client to a QMGR can never be blank.
