Hi all,
I am new to MQWF and I am not sure if now i would like to use it to automate the loan application process. Could anyone please tell me if I need to model the application status myself (e.g pending review, pending approval, etc) or I should have utilise the activity status that come with workflow. In case there's some status for each activity, could anyone list all possible status?
Thanks a lot for your help!!!!!!!

The status of a work-item is not configurable, and they refer to the actual status of the activity or subprocess: For instance, a work-item can be Ready, Running, Executed, InError, Finished.

I think what you want, judging from the request, would be to create a process model with each of the activities marking a new status of the loan application. For instance, you have a process consisting of two programs (or activities), one to review the application, and one to process an approval, etc. You can then mark the activities for an automatic start, if you want to automate the process some. The monitoring feature of the process will tell you at what activity in the process the item is currently at.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for your reply.

What I am concerning about is how would the user be able to collect statistics according to the application status, say how many are pending review, being review and pending approval
Is that I have to collect such statistics using MQWF's built in status for activities, or should i use new defined status by myself and try to query th application status accordingly?

Any pros and cons for the two ?

Also, I would like to ask is that i woiuld need an activity to help mark the application status , for instance, pending review, being review and pending approval, which would call an external program and mark the application status in database accordingly?

Thanks a lot for your kind assistance
