I can't deploy a production fix using the Control Center. We are on MQ Integrator 2.1. For some reason when I deleted a message set so I could import a new updated version with the same name, I lost connectivity to my brokers in the Assignments Tab and Topocology. I can still see the brokers in the Operations tab. I try to add the brokers back in Topology but it says they already exist with a BIP1511E. I really just want the brokers to be associated back with the Control Center. It is our production environment and I don't want to delete and recreate since the brokers with the run time data are working. I am terribly stuck because I need to deploy the changed message set but nothing in the Assignments tab to let me do that. How can I fix the Control Center?

Are the channels from the configmgr to the brokers still running? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Yes, the channels to the brokers were running fine. In the control center, the assignments tab and the Topology tab lost it's connection to the broker. I think I caused it by not deploying prior to deleting an message set that needed to be updated that had already been deployed.
IBM had me try all kinds of things including deleting the case from my Control Center.
Developer here suggested deleting the broker entry from the cbroker table in the config db. It seemed like a good idea and it did work as far as being able to add the broker back into Topology...however the deployment was another story. I ended up with the UUID for the broker being out of sync and thus, the deployment failed.
Next step, IBM had me delete the reference of the UUID from the broker from several other config mgr databases. They highly do not recommend this course of action but I sort of went down that path.
Still no luck the UUID consistencies still remained. Back into IBM. It turns out there is a file on the broker server (my broker does not exist on the same system as the config mgr). It is just a flat file in the repository directory. We had to change it to the UUID that was created on the config mgr. This seems to have done the trick. Again, not a highly recommended course of action. Thoughts? |
