1. Compiler. Is there possible for MQ program to compile universally by using gcc or g++ on varied of Unix platform? because in mq manual, it's complicated for customer to find every compiler on every platform to compile program with different options.
2. HA. if MQ crashed, is there possible to move MQ data and log directory to another machine and active it? if MQ on second machine has their data(i can use link to change their directory), what and where need me to edit? QM.ini and MQS.ini is enough? |

1. No. You must use the specified compilers on each UNIX platform.
2. Yes, you can 'just' copy the data to another machine. You must make sure the permissions on all directories and files are correct - check on an existing system for what the owner/group/permissions should be.
If you really want to put the data in a non-standard location, you need to modify both mqs.ini, so the qmgr data can be found, and qm.ini, so the log data can be found. |
