Q1. if i take MQ to be my XA coordinator, i define switch file path and db name, userid and password for Database in qm.ini . i'm just wondering what status of DB MQ will check during starting QM? what status of DB can make QM starting with error? if error said "DB have some uncommit transaction", what's mean of that?
Q2. during two-phase commit in MQ global work unit, what will happen if DB crashed? MQ app will get error quickly? if not, is there any way to make it quicken?
thanks! |

1. Can you provide more details on when/how do you get these errors? Have you tried looking at DB side to see which ones are uncommited transactions?
2. I think you will get error at the time of Transaction commit. _________________ Kiran

Kiran,
For Q1, after defined XA resource(Oracle) in QM.ini, i tried to start QM but got failed, there's some error in error-log of MQ,said "uncommit transaction in DB". after removing XA Resource definition, everything is ok. so, i just want to know what MQ will detect DB, what status of DB can make MQ starting failed?
For Q2, i had test, yes, will get error code once invoking mqcommit.
thanks! |

Have you tried using dspmqtrn and/or rsvmqtrn command. Your DBA might be able to guide you in seeing outstanding DB transactions. _________________ Kiran
