Hello All
I have a problem ..
In my setup i have two full repositories and two partial repositories.
QM1 and QM3 are full repositories.
QM2 and QM4 are partial repositories.
When the queue managers QM2 and QM4 were added to the cluster,
a display clusqmgr(*) command on the full repositories showed all four queue managers. But on the partial repositories the command showed only the full repositories and the local queue manager itself. I am not sure if this is fine but the problem is .. no cluster objects are seen on any of the partial repositories.... even after having done a refresh cluster.
the channels are running fine.
the only error i find in the log is:
AMQ9420: No repositories for cluster XYZ.
EXPLANATION:
The queue manager has received information about a cluster for which no
repositories are known.
ACTION:
Alter the REPOS or REPOSNL attribute of the queue manager, that is to have a
full repository for the cluster, to specify the cluster name.
can anyone please let me know as to what has gone wrong ??
thanks |

Also, I forgot to mention in my previous post that a display chs(*) shows two cluster sender channels on the partial repositories. A channel to each full repository. But a dis channel(*) type(clussdr) shows only one cluster sender channel.
Why is this so? |

MQ as designed.
dis channel(*) type(clussdr) shows the manually defined CLUSSNDRs. Every QM in the cluster should only have 1 of these, to only 1 Full Repository.
display chs(*) shows all the channels that are Active, which includes the Automatic Cluster Senders. All clustered partial repository QMs will have at least 2 Automatic Cluster Senders, one to each of the 2 Full Repositories.

The PRs will only show queues they have an intrest in. If they have never sent a message to a queue hosted on another QM, they don't need to know about it. Once they need it, they will ask the FR for that info, and will then keep that queue info for the next 90 days, and it will show up on the PR. As long as it is being used, you will "see" it.
FRs need to know everything about everything, so FRs will always show all queues in the cluster, even if they have never put to them. _________________ Peter Potkay
